Detroit Diesel Engine History
The Detroit Diesel Engine Series 60 was the first HD diesel engine with complete integrated electronic controls in 1987. In 2001 the 14.0L series S60 was introduced. In 2007 DDE discontinue the 12.7L engine. In 2011 the S60 series was discontinue and replaced by DD15 series.
